How a Perth sliding door repair business moved from the bottom of page two to position three for its most important keywords, and doubled inbound phone calls within three months.
Before we started working together in January, the website had dropped to the bottom of page two for its two most important keywords, “sliding door repairs” and “sliding door repairs Perth”. Because of this, the business was not attracting new customers through organic search.
Most of the website’s traffic came from people looking up the business name after already finding it through its Google Business Profile. Enquiry and phone call volume had fallen significantly, and the business was relying almost entirely on word-of-mouth rather than a steady stream of inbound leads.
Our initial audit found that the site had no dedicated service pages beyond the homepage, minimal content depth and no real signals of the expertise or trustworthiness Google rewards. The website had stood still while competitors built out their digital footprint and improved their rankings.
We mapped the full keyword landscape for the business, looking at repair types, parts, location modifiers and intent-based search variants, to establish exactly where the real market opportunity sat before planning any new content.
Every target keyword was assigned to a specific page, so each page had a distinct purpose and no overlap with others. This prevented keyword cannibalisation and gave the content plan clear, measurable targets.
We analysed the top-ranking pages for the target keywords, including the topics covered, content structure, trust signals and questions answered, to understand the exact standard required to outrank the competition.
We built a content plan centred on Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trust. New service pages were created where none had existed, each with detailed FAQs, strong intent alignment and clear trust signals, written to answer questions more thoroughly than the existing top results.
Once the new content was published, we used Google Search Console to request recrawls and speed up indexing, then monitored rankings and traffic at the page level and made targeted adjustments based on live performance data.
Within three months, the business moved from the bottom of page two to position three for both “sliding door repairs” and “sliding door repairs Perth”. Both terms now also feature the site in Google’s AI Overviews, which appear above traditional search results and signal that Google considers the site a credible, authoritative source.
Before the project, most visits were branded. Once the work was complete, non-branded, intent-driven traffic began arriving, meaning people could find the business through search for the first time. Individual service pages also began ranking for niche terms on their own, creating traffic streams that had not existed before.
As visibility increased, inbound phone calls doubled. The business went from barely any inbound calls to a consistent, measurable enquiry volume, with results starting in the first month and continuing to build over the following months.
